Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Charles Register received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Prior to that, he graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. Dr. Charles Register is from an Air Force family and was born outside of Tokyo, Japan. As a child he lived in the country of Panama and has some of his fondest memories being a boy in Alaska. Upon Optometry graduation, he served at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City Beach, FL. Once out of the service, he relocated to the Daytona Beach Area.

Dr. Charles Register has practiced Optometry in the Daytona Beach and New Smyrna area since 1982 and opened Beach Vision in 1997. He is passionate about serving the New Smyrna Beach community with superior customer service, products, and vision care. Dr. Charles Register is a member of the Florida Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Charles Register lives in Daytona Beach Shores with his wife, Patti, and their dog, Augie. He enjoys playing the guitar, kayaking, paddle boarding and spending time with his two grown daughters and granddaughter.

Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Kimberly Menza was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She did her undergraduate studies at Loyola University Chicago, and then received her doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry. She moved to Daytona Beach to complete her residency in primary care at the William Chappell Jr. VA outpatient clinic.

Dr. Menza has been practicing locally since 2009, and is board certified by the National Board of Optometry and the Florida Board of Optometry. Dr. Menza is an active member of the AOA, and former president of the Volusia County Optometric Society. She has had the privilege of being a guest lecturer at many events, including continuing education lectures on ocular disease and contact lenses. Some of her published work includes research on ocular surface squamous neoplasia, retinal vein occlusions, corneal chemical burns, and difficult contact lens cases.

Dr. Menza is married to a local teacher and football coach. They have one daughter, Isabelle. In her free time, Dr. Menza loves to spend time with her family at the beach, travel, garden and support the community through volunteer work.
