Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Kevin Brantley is an accomplished optometrist with a passion for helping others achieve their best vision. Dr. Brantley completed his undergraduate studies at Florida State University, graduating with honors. He then attended Nova Southeastern University earning his Doctor of Optometry degree.

Dr. Brantley has been practicing in Volusia County for over 23 years. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, and the Volusia Optometric Society. He utilizes the latest technology and his years of chairside experience to provide his patients with the most comprehensive level of eye care.

A Florida native, Dr. Brantley has lived his entire life in the Sunshine State and resides in Ormond Beach. When not at work, he enjoys golfing, physical fitness, playing guitar and traveling with his wife and three children.

Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Charles Register received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Prior to that, he graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. Dr. Charles Register is from an Air Force family and was born outside of Tokyo, Japan. As a child he lived in the country of Panama and has some of his fondest memories being a boy in Alaska. Upon Optometry graduation, he served at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City Beach, FL. Once out of the service, he relocated to the Daytona Beach Area.

Dr. Charles Register has practiced Optometry in the Daytona Beach and New Smyrna area since 1982 and opened Beach Vision in 1997. He is passionate about serving the New Smyrna Beach community with superior customer service, products, and vision care. Dr. Charles Register is a member of the Florida Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Charles Register lives in Daytona Beach Shores with his wife, Patti, and their dog, Augie. He enjoys playing the guitar, kayaking, paddle boarding and spending time with his two grown daughters and granddaughter.

Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Susan Sullenberger has dedicated over 20 years to serving the Volusia County community as a respected optometrist. A member of both the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association, she is committed to advancing eye care practices and promoting ocular health. She earned a degree in chemistry from North Carolina State University before completing her doctorate at Nova Southeastern University.

In her practice, she encourages patients to embrace nutrition as a key component of maintaining eye health. Personally, she is a passionate advocate for a healthy lifestyle. An avid runner and hiker, she also enjoys mountain biking and exploring new outdoor activities.

Throughout her journey, Dr. Sullenberger supported her husband's military career, which brought them to various locations including Hawaii and North Carolina. His military service ultimately led them back to Florida, where he currently serves full-time in the Florida National Guard. Balancing her career with her role as a devoted mother of two, she spends as much time as possible outdoors, embracing all things active and nature-related. She feels privileged to be a part of this vibrant beachside community, where she continues to make a significant impact in her field and the lives of her patients.
